Case Study: 175 Pages, Zero Lost Rankings, and a 99 on Google PageSpeed for Precision Paralegal

The Client: Precision Paralegal Services

Precision Paralegal Services is an elite litigation practice led by Michelle Haigh, President and Senior Licensed Paralegal. Michelle is a recipient of the William J. Simpson Distinguished Paralegal Award, the highest paralegal honour in Canada.

With more than 25 years in the field, the team has handled over 10,000 matters and logged more than 20,000 hours in the courtroom. They work Small Claims Court, insurance subrogation, Repair and Storage Liens Act (RSLA) matters, and debt recovery for businesses, financial institutions, and insurers across Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.

This is a serious practice with a serious client list: banks, insurers, and corporate counsel. The problem was simple. The website did not reflect any of it.

The Problem: An Aging WordPress Site With 390 Indexed URLs

Precision Paralegal website before the rebuild

The old site ran on an aging, plugin-dependent WordPress stack. It worked, but it showed its age. The presentation felt dated for an audience of banks, insurers, and corporate counsel, and the contact forms were stale and easy to miss.

For a practice whose entire value is precision and reliability, a tired website quietly undercuts the pitch. The people deciding whether to send legal work check you out first. A site that looks a step behind makes an elite firm look ordinary.

But there was a bigger catch hiding under the surface. The site had 390 indexed URLs, years of pages, articles, and FAQ content that Google already knew and ranked. A careless rebuild would torch all of it. Change the wrong paths and you throw away rankings that took years to earn.

The Migration: 390 URLs, Zero Ranking Loss

This is where most redesigns quietly go wrong. An agency rebuilds the site, ships it, and the new pages live at new addresses. Every old URL Google had indexed now 404s or gets 301-chained through a pile of redirects. Rankings drop, and the client is left wondering why traffic fell off a cliff right after the shiny new launch.

We refused to take that risk. Before writing a single page, we mapped the entire live URL structure and replicated it 1:1. Trailing slashes matched. Dated blog permalinks matched. Every one of the FAQ pages sits at its exact old path. Nothing 301-chains. Nothing 404s.

When the structure is preserved perfectly, Google sees the same addresses it already trusts, just faster and cleaner behind them. That removes the single biggest cause of post-redesign ranking loss. We engineered this migration so that no ranking equity was left on the table.

To be clear about what that means: our goal was to protect what the practice had already earned, not to promise a traffic spike. The honest claim is the important one. The migration was built for zero ranking loss.

What We Built: 175 Pages in Under a Month

The new Precision Paralegal website homepage

The finished site is 175 pages. That breaks down into 146 individual FAQ pages, 12 articles, and 17 core pages, including dedicated practice-area pages for Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.

The pace matters as much as the number. The first commit landed on June 25, and the site was launch-ready in under a month. Along the way we shipped more than 50 client revisions through our unlimited-revisions workflow, tightening copy, structure, and design until it matched the calibre of the practice.

Under the hood, the whole thing is a modern static architecture on enterprise hosting: lean, pre-generated, and fast, with no fragile plugin stack to break. Structured data is baked into every page so search engines and AI tools can read exactly who Precision Paralegal is, what they do, and where they operate.

A rebuild at this scale, done this fast, without losing rankings, is not something a page builder produces. It comes from building properly.

A Smarter Front Door: The 3-Step Consultation Intake

The old site leaned on stale contact forms that did little to qualify who was reaching out. For a firm that serves businesses and institutions rather than individuals, that is a real problem. Time spent sorting the wrong enquiries is time not spent on files.

We replaced those forms with a 3-step consultation intake that qualifies business clients up front. It guides the right prospects through a clean, professional flow and sets the tone the practice deserves from the first click.

We also wired conversion tracking into the intake, so every consultation request is measured. The firm can see what is working instead of guessing, and every enquiry lands where it should instead of sitting in an inbox nobody watches.

The Results: Google PageSpeed Before and After

Precision Paralegal Google PageSpeed scores before the rebuild: Performance 82

Mobile Lighthouse scores tell the story in four numbers.

  • Performance: 82 to 99, a +17 point jump to the edge of a perfect score.
  • Accessibility: 83 to 92, a +9 point gain and more usable for everyone, including assistive tech.
  • Best Practices: 96 to 100, a perfect score on modern web standards.
  • SEO: held steady at 92, right through a full platform migration.

That last line is the quiet flex. Holding SEO flat while moving a 390-URL site to an entirely new platform is exactly what the migration was engineered to do. Nothing slipped.

These are not vanity metrics. Performance affects how high the site ranks and whether busy corporate counsel stays long enough to start a consultation. A near-perfect Performance score means the page loads fast enough that Google has every reason to push it up, not hold it back.

This Is What the Authority Plan Delivers

Step back and look at what shipped in a single month. A full redesign from a stale, aging site. 175 pages. A migration engineered for zero ranking loss. Fast load times. A smarter, qualifying intake. That is not a small project squeezed into four weeks by accident.

It is what the Authority plan is built to deliver. At $1,699/month, Authority is our top tier: unlimited pages and content, a priority queue, and aggressive SEO. When a practice needs scale and speed at the same time, this is the gear that makes it possible.

For a firm competing for high-value legal work from banks and insurers, a website that finally matches the calibre of the practice is not a cost. It is the thing that lets the reputation do its job online.

Want the Same for Your Business?

Precision Paralegal is one example. The same approach works whether you are a paralegal practice in Ontario, a process server in Alberta, or any established firm sitting on an aging site with rankings worth protecting.

A custom website built for performance, and migrated so you keep the rankings you already earned, will outperform a dated template every time. The risk of losing ground in a rebuild is real, but it is avoidable when the migration is done right.
